The Worr academy has developed numerous drivers in its illustrious history. With new graduates joining the race team more potential champions start their journey regularly. Karting is not just for kids such as Ethan (who will be joining his first race at the age of 6), Young men such as Fisho from the North West but it is for everyone including Karen. Karen, a young lady from Malawi.

Karen has joined the Worr academy to develop her driving skills through karting. She worked closely with Coach Thando while in South Africa and looks forward to continuing her Academy journey upon her return. “Working with Thando was a very wonderful and constructive experience, as well as working with Worr Motorsport in general. Everyone is so kind and so helpful and I can’t wait to come back for more training.” She says of her experience working with the Worr Academy Team. With no karting circuits available in Malawi, she finds herself needing to travel to gain the expertise and she found that Worr is the ideal team for her to join.

Karen believes that travelling to develop your skills is quite beneficial and recommends it, encouraging others by saying “If they have the means to and they really want to pursue their goals”. With the high level of development that can be achieved at Worr, Karen looks forward to her next opportunity to train with our team. She found a track in Ethiopia to practice her skills on and hopes to get a chance to go rally driving. We look forward to seeing what Karen can do as an academy driver and look forward to helping her on her racing journey.
