Another unforgettable weekend of speed, adrenaline, and nonstop racing action unfolded at Worr Motorsport as Round 3 of the Academy Race delivered excitement, competition, and unforgettable moments at FK Benoni. From the very first session on track, the atmosphere was electric as drivers, teams, supporters, and spectators came together for a weekend that truly showcased the passion and growth of karting within the Worr Motorsport family.
The cool morning conditions created the perfect setting for a thrilling day of racing. With 28 drivers in attendance, the paddock was filled with anticipation as competitors prepared for another intense round of the academy championship. The junior category immediately captured attention, with seven talented young drivers taking each other on in fierce battles throughout the day. Every lap showcased determination, confidence, and rapidly developing race craft as the future stars of motorsport pushed themselves to the limit.
Troy goes to ROK
One notable absence from the academy grid was Troy Snyman, who opted to compete in the Rok Nationals over the weekend. Despite his absence, the competition remained fierce, and the field was further strengthened by the presence of the ever-dominant Gianna, whose return added even more excitement and intensity to the racing action.
As the day progressed, the senior field became the centre of attention. With a larger and highly competitive grid, the Worr Motorsport coaching team strategically adjusted the kart setups to create three separate battles throughout the field, ensuring competitive racing from front to back. The result was nonstop action, overtaking battles, and close racing that kept spectators fully engaged from start to finish.
Pranjals Rise
One of the standout performances of the weekend came from Pranjal, who stepped into the senior category for this round and immediately made his intentions clear. Showing confidence, maturity, and impressive pace, he hit the ground running and quickly established himself as a serious contender at the front of the field. Lap after lap, Pranjal demonstrated exceptional defending skills and composure under pressure as he went head-to-head with Thato in one of the most exciting battles of the weekend.
