Worr drivers travelled to PE this past weekend to take on the nations best in all categories of the PE Rok Nationals. The fires of desire burnt bright with excellent performances all around. The return of Mo Wally was especially exciting with Gianna on a roll.
Ethan takes 2
The bambino category brought Ethan out to show his development. As an academy graduate, he continued to impress the Worr Team at the PE Rok Nationals. He has developed more awareness on track and drove clean races for a P2 finish.
Reddi is back
We saw a strong performance from kiyaan that put him 3rd overall. He made a huge jump from his previous performances like idube, knocking on the door for pole from practice. It was never out of reach and he finally got it in the final race of the day.
Lwashu’s here in 5
Arriving late after missing his flight, Lwashu began his preparations a day late. He soldiered on building tempo from the time he hit the track. He battled his way to the front of the field in each session and finished in a respectable P5 overall.
Battle of the Titans
OKN was a another epic Worriors showdown. Heavyweights Gianna Pascoal and Jesse Swart took the track in a riveting PE Rok nationals’ showdown with Mo Wally. Gianna out paced the legend to take P1 in the opening battle closely followed by Jesse. The head-to-head with Wally for the top step was undeniably difficult for the Phenom giving her a P2 finish for round 2. Jesse kept his cool as the Worr drivers showed total dominance. The last round had Gianna and Wally continuing the front row fight but ended Gianna was penalised at the end of a tough session to hand Wally the win and Jesse P2.
The coaches singled out Jesse as a top performer for the day. His continued increase in pace the whole day was rapid with stiff competition from teammates Gianna and Wally. He earned a brilliant p3 that was well deserved and places him in 3rd for the national championships.
