A Weekend of Determination, Development and Strong Performances
The latest round of the Rotax VKC Championship delivered another exciting weekend of competitive racing, where drivers, teams and families came together to showcase the passion and dedication that continues to grow South African karting.
For our team, the weekend was about far more than the final results. It was another valuable opportunity to develop our drivers, analyse performance, gather crucial data and continue building towards the remainder of the championship season.
From the moment practice began, every session was approached with a clear objective—to maximise track time, fine-tune kart setup and help each driver gain confidence around the circuit. Throughout qualifying and the heats, the team worked tirelessly to extract every bit of performance from both the drivers and the machinery.
Building Pace Throughout the Weekend
Every race weekend presents its own unique challenges, from changing track conditions to fierce competition across every class. The VKC once again proved why it is one of the most competitive karting championships, with incredibly close racing and minimal margins separating the field.
Our drivers continued to improve throughout the event, making positive gains in pace with every session. Consistent feedback between the drivers and engineers allowed the team to make important setup adjustments that resulted in stronger race performances as the weekend progressed.
Several exciting wheel-to-wheel battles highlighted the day, demonstrating not only speed but also racecraft, discipline and determination under pressure.
Valuable Lessons On and Off the Track
Motorsport is a constant learning process, and every lap provides an opportunity to improve. While celebrating the positives from the weekend, we also identified several areas where we can continue developing.
The team will now focus on analysing race data, reviewing onboard footage and refining strategies to ensure we arrive even stronger at the next championship round.
These lessons are what drive continuous improvement and help transform promising drivers into consistent front-runners.
Looking Ahead
With another championship round completed, our focus now shifts towards preparation for the next event. Training continues both on and off the circuit as we work to improve every aspect of our performance.
The journey in motorsport is built on consistency, commitment and continuous improvement, and we remain fully committed to helping our drivers reach their highest potential.
Every lap completed, every lesson learned and every race contested brings us one step closer to achieving our goals.
