The countdown is on

With just one week to go until the Karting Africa Showrun in Angola, the countdown has officially entered its final stage. What began as an ambitious vision to bring African drivers, teams and motorsport stakeholders together is now becoming a reality, with preparations well underway on the ground in Angola.

The Karting Africa Showrun represents more than just another race on the calendar. It is part of growing movement to create greater opportunities for African drivers, develop motorsport infrastructure across the continent and showcase the talent, passion and potential that exists within African motorsport. As the final preparations continue, the anticipation surrounding this historic event is growing by the day.

Worr motorsport is already on the ground

While the drivers are still prepring for their arrival next week, the WORR motorsport team is already in Angola and working behind the scenes to make sure everything is ready for race week.

The team is currently focused on preparing the Karting Africa chassis, equipment and race infrastructure, ensuring that every detail is in place before the drivers arrive. From technical preparation and chassis setup to equipment logistics and trackside operations, the work taking place now will form the foundation for what promises to be a major week for African karting.

Being on the ground early allows the team to work through the logistical and technical requirements of the event while creating a professional environment for the drivers when they arrive. It is significant operation, but one that reflects the scale and ambition behind the Karting Africa initiative.

PREPARING FOR THE DRIVERS

Next week, drivers from across Africa will begin arriving in Angola, bringing with them different experiences, backgrounds and racing journeys — but sharing the same passion for motorsport.

For many of these drivers, the opportunity to compete at an event of this nature represents an important step in their development. The Showrun is designed to create an environment where drivers can race, learn, compete and experience what is possible when African motorsport comes together under one platform.

Behind every driver on the grid will be a huge amount of preparation taking place away from the spotlight. The WORR motorsport team is working to ensure the karts and equipment are prepared to a high standard so that the focus can remain where it belongs- on the drivers and the racing.

MORE THAN A RACE

The Karting Africa Showrun is about much more than what happens when the lights go out.

It is about creating opportunities, connecting countries and building s stronger motorsport ecosystem across Africa. By bringing drivers and motorsport professionals together, the event creates an opportunity to demonstrate what African karting can become when talent is supported by the right infrastructure, expertise and vision.

For WORR Motorsport and Karting Africa, the event is another step towards a broader Pan- African approach to motorsport development. The objective is to help create pathways for young African drivers while also contributing to the development of the technical, organisational and competitive skills required to grow motorsport across the continent.

AFRICA IS GETTING READY

The energy around the event is building quickly. With the team already in Angola, equipment being prepared and the arrival of the drivers just days away, the final pieces are beginning to come together.

There is a sense that something significant is taking shape. The karting Africa Showrun brings together the people, machinery and ambition needed to create a truly Pan- African motorsport experience-and Angola will provide the stage.

For everyone involved, the coming week will be about turning months of planning, preparation and hard work into an event that drivers and fans will remember.

Angola is ready. The kaerts are being prepared. The equipment is arriving. The team is on the ground. And soon, drivers from across the continent will take their place on the grid.
